Competition Entries
The Creative Ireland Programme, Shared Island Initiative and RTÉ recognise that the entrant, the author of the image, retains full ownership of the copyright of the image.
By entering the competition you, or, in the case of a minor, you and the parent/guardian of the entrant, agree that RTÉ is permitted to receive and publish your / the entrant’s personal submission data. Please refer to RTÉ’s Privacy Policy.
You warrant or, in the case of a minor, you and the parent/guardian of the participant warrants, that the submission is an original artwork created by you/the entrant, and all information submitted will not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or any other rights of any third party and will not contain anything which is libellous, defamatory, obscene, indecent, harassing or threatening.
RTÉ reserves the right to decline to feature any submissions on its online gallery or on any other platform. This decision will be made at RTÉ’s sole discretion and RTÉ will not engage in any correspondence or appeals process in relation to artworks submitted that are not chosen for inclusion on the gallery or elsewhere.
On submitting artwork, you, or, in the case of a minor, you and the parent/guardian of each entrant, hereby agrees that the Creative Ireland Programme, Shared Island Initiative and RTÉ may make any and all submissions available in their publications and on their websites and other media platforms, now or in the future and to feature the artwork to promote the art, the competition. You grant or, in the case of a minor, you and the parent/guardian of the participant grants, the Creative Ireland Programme and RTÉ a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use, display, publish, transmit, copy and edit the submission for such purposes and to further sub-licence to the artwork to selected Local Authorities, as well as any third-party service providers, to use the artwork to promote the art, the competition, and to feature it on social media and in national exhibitions for such purposes. This licence includes the right to edit to improve image quality, cropping, and to remove any personal information.
Data Retention:
We will retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law (please see our privacy notice: here). We will securely delete or anonymize your personal data when it is no longer needed for these purposes or when consent is withdrawn (if applicable).
