8-11 Category • 2024My name is Alexandra Kelly and I am 11 years old. The title of my artwork is "Peace and Harmony". World peace is very important to me as my friend Veronica moved from the war in Ukraine to live in Ireland. I drew the portrait of myself and in the picture I am reflecting on inspirational quotes from peace makers of the past - Walt Whitman, Mother Teresa, Mahatma Gandhi and Vincent van Gogh. The materials I used were acrylic pens, colouring pencils and twistable crayons. I used bright and vibrant colours to make the picture stand out. My wish for the near future is that there will be freedom, peace and happiness for everyone in the world. Peace and Harmony Alexandra Kelly
