I drew this gentle deer because I wanted to show a calm & peaceful moment in nature. The deer is looking at a bright butterfly like they just met for the first time so wanted it to feel soft and kind. I then used lots of bright colours around the deer to show energy and emotions almost like feelings bursting out around the calm. I love the contrast of the soft colour pencil and the bright paint colours. I love how this turned out!
