Hi I am Julia. I am eleven years old and my art is called MY LITTLE WORLD. The idea came to me when my mum was stressed at work and I wanted to make her feel better so I made her an ocean in a paper box. I loved creating it and showing to it to my family. I have made nine Little Worlds so far. I imagine myself and friends and family in them.My piece is about my vision of nature the wild and what the world should look like with no plastic, no pollution so I have put in mountains, grass, flowers, trees, waterfall & river and a hot air ballon. I think making My Little Worlds is a way to express myself. I can put in trees as big as I want them to be and as many flowers, butterflies as I can imagine and rivers galore all inside a little paper box. I don’t put people in them so the observer can imagen themselves and others there. I brought some of My Little Worlds into school and my teacher asked me to teach all of 5th class how to make them. I use paper, cardboard, scissors markers and sellotape only. I do it completely by myself with no help whatsoever – an original piece to express emotions all swirled up in MY LITTLE WORLD
