12-15 Category • 2026My starting point was a Halloween themed project in my art class. The raven was the first thing that came to mind. Initially I planned to have him standing on a gravestone but I wanted the raven to be the focal point so I cut out a circle of thorny vines to be like a border around him. I brought berries from my garden to draw so I could add them in. We were also studying the poem The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe in English class so I guess the raven was on my mind.
