Although the peacock is stripped of its bright colours it still has many Intricacies and details and still emits a feeling of pride. i used 2B and 4B pencils for the body of the peacock, paying close attention to lights and shadows. For the Background i used bright, vivid watercolours to bring contrast to my work. The light colouring of the peacock almost gives the appearance of a statue, this is a reference to climate change and how someday some of our earth’s most beautiful creatures could soon be nothing more than a faint memory.
