I chose to draw a picture of a parrot because I like all their different bright, beautiful colours. They are a very interesting bird because some of them talk to humans and they are super smart. They are very entertaining - dancing and copying sounds. Parrots are great listeners and can live a long life. While I was drawing my picture, I was thinking about how cool it would be to have a parrot as a pet. I chose to draw fireworks because they make a nice background and I like the way they light up the sky when they go off. They are as colourful as the parrot! While I was making my drawing I felt happy, relaxed and positive. Making art and working with colour puts me in a good mood.
