ARTIST STATEMENT I made this painting with acrylic paints because these types of paints can be used to get bright, bold colours. I love expressing myself through nature because its so beautiful and there is such wonder. I also wanted to challenge myself with painting a tiger as I think they are such beautiful animals because of their vibrant colour and unique stripes. My dad also loves tigers and I remember he told me when I was younger that the stripes on the tiger are like “fingerprints” on humans and no two are the same. Amy Finnegan Age 13
