Commendation

My piece is based off a picture of my girlfriend looking in the mirror that we took in her bathroom. When we think “This is Extraordinary!” we usually think of something glamorous or something extravagant, but how often do we think that about ourselves? Self image has always been an issue for teenagers, but in the age of social media it’s getting increasingly impossible for us to love ourselves. I think it’s empowering to be able to look at our own reflections and think “This is Extraordinary!”
